Nokia teams up with Microsoft

Nokia, one of the leading manufacturor of the mobile handsets has joined hands with Microsoft to take on Google and Apple in fast-growing smart phone market as the finnish cellphone maker attempts to regain its leading position in the sector. Microsoft's windows phone platform is widely recognised by industry experts as leading edge technology but has not gained succus among consumers. Nokia would use
 the windows phone as a software platform for its smartphones. With this alliance nokia aims to tame the smartphone market share which it had lost to Google and Apple.
