How to block a website with out using any software?

 

 

Today internet contains enormous content which also may have bad impact on the internet users. For examples most of the parents may be worried that their kids may use the adult content and want them to keep away from it. So the need is to block some unwanted or hazardous content from using.
To block any website or sites you just follow these steps:

• Click on 'Start'.
• Type C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc in the run column. You can also access this link through explorer browsing.
• In the etc folder open the file 'hosts'.
• Double click on the file and open it in an notepad.
• In the file you can see something like '127.0.0.1 localhost'.
• For blocking a particular site just type '127.0.0.2' followed be the site you want to block.

: For every site you block add one to the last number. In this case last number has become 2 by adding one to 1.
