What are the features of 4G networks

4G stands for fourth generation of cellular wireless standards. It is successor to 3G and 2G families.
Speed requirements for 4G set to peak download speed at 100 M bits/sec for high mobility communications and 1 G bits/sec for low mobility communications. Features such as ultra-broadband internet services IP telephony , enhanced gaming services streamed multimedia may be provided to the users. The IEEE 802.16m or WirelessMAN Advanced evolution of 802.16e is under development, with the objective to fulfill the IMT-Advanced criteria of 1 G bit/sec for stationary and 100 M bit/sec for mobile receiption. The pre-4G technology 3GPP Long Term Evolution (LTE) is branded as 4G.
The main objectives of the 4G are:
A data rates of at least 100 M bit/sec between any two points of the world.
Smooth access across heterogeneous networks.
Seamless connectivity and global roaming across the networks.
An all IP, packet switched networks.
Some of the key features of 4G are:
Any time, any where, any technology.
Support for multimedia at very low transmission cost.
Personalization.
Integrated Services.
