The First SMS was sent 20 years ago by software engineer Neil Papworth, to Vodafone director Richard Jarvis. With the evolution of the latest technologies like Smartphones and app-world the sheen of SMS hasn't lost yet.
Even in the today's tech savvy life SMS plays very significant role in our day to day life. Most usage of SMS is for alerts on banking transactions, online shopping, online bookings and last but not least for communication.
SMS also got a significant change in the usage of English vocabulary where the usage of acronyms like LOL(Laugh out Loud) & IDK(I don't know) have became most common.
